Healing Hands is the scrub brand people find through one pant. The Tori, with its soft yoga waistband, is the piece that gets passed around break rooms, and most of what makes the brand worth buying is in that one design: a fold-over knit waist instead of a drawstring, a soft stretch blend, and three inseam lengths.
The short answer: start with the Tori pant in your inseam length, pair it with the three-pocket V-neck top if you want a zip pocket, or the Journey top if you want room in the shoulders. Check the size chart first, because the Purple Label line is cut slim. If you need four-way stretch for lifting and reaching all shift, Purple Label is not built for that, and a cheaper four-way stretch top does the job better.
How we chose: Healing Hands’ own product pages for fabric, fit, pockets and inseams, and the amazon.com listings for sizes, colors and buyer rating volume. Every pick has thousands of buyer ratings behind it. We have not worn or wash-tested these ourselves.

What Healing Hands actually is
Healing Hands makes several scrub lines. On its own site you will find Purple Label, Evry, Quest, 360 and HH Works, which it marks as a retailer exclusive. On Amazon, the line you will see most is Purple Label, and that is the one this guide covers.
Purple Label is sold as yoga-inspired scrubs. Healing Hands describes the fabric as a polyester, rayon and spandex blend that is lightweight, breathable, and wrinkle and fade resistant. On the product pages we checked (the Tori pant, the Juliet top and the Journey top), the blend is the same: 77% polyester, 20% rayon, 3% spandex, with two-way stretch.
Two things follow from that blend:
- Two-way stretch, not four-way. The fabric gives in one direction. For most bedside work that is fine. If you spend the shift squatting to empty drains or reaching overhead, a four-way stretch top moves more freely.
- Three percent spandex is modest. The Dickies four-way stretch top further down carries 5%. Purple Label is a soft, everyday blend rather than an athletic one.
The fit: slim, and it varies by style
This is where people get caught out. Healing Hands says the Purple Label line is cut slimmer through the shoulders, chest, waist and hips. Within the line, the styles use different fit labels:
| Piece | Fit, per Healing Hands | Pockets | Sizes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tori pant | Junior contoured, mid-rise, straight leg | 5 | XXS to 5XL, petite, regular, tall |
| Juliet top | Junior contoured, front darts | 2 | XXS to 5XL |
| Journey top | Generous modern fit, dolman sleeves | 2 | XXS to 2XL |
| 3-pocket V-neck top | Modern fit, per the Amazon listing | 3, one zipped | XS to 5X |
“Junior contoured” means a closer, more shaped cut. If you are between sizes, or you like your scrubs loose, size up on the junior pieces or choose the relaxed styles. The Journey top is the most forgiving: Healing Hands describes it as oversized.
The Tori pant: why it is the one to buy
The Tori is a mid-rise, straight-leg pant with a rib-knit yoga waistband and five pockets: two front patch pockets, one cargo patch pocket and two back pockets. The leg opening is 18 inches.
The inseams are the real selling point. Healing Hands lists petite at 28.5 inches, regular at 30.5 and tall at 32.5, and the Amazon listing carries petite and tall versions across most sizes, including plus sizes. If you are 5 foot 2 and tired of rolling your hems, or 5 foot 11 and tired of flood pants, that matters more than the fabric.
The yoga waistband is the other reason. There is no drawstring knot to dig in when you lean over a bed for a dressing change at hour eleven, and nothing to come undone. The trade off is that a knit waist does not cinch. If you carry a heavy phone and shears in the cargo pocket, try the fit with your pockets loaded before you cut the tags off.
Healing Hands Purple Label Tori Scrub Pant
The yoga-waist pant that made the brand, in petite, regular and tall.
A mid-rise straight-leg pant with a rib-knit yoga waistband and five pockets, in a polyester, rayon and spandex blend with two-way stretch.
- Fabric
- 77% polyester, 20% rayon, 3% spandex, per Healing Hands
- Pockets
- 2 front, 1 cargo, 2 back
- Inseams
- Petite 28.5 in, regular 30.5 in, tall 32.5 in
Best for
Anyone who hates a drawstring digging in by hour ten, and petite or tall wearers who are tired of hemming.
Worth knowing
Healing Hands calls the cut junior contoured, so it is closer through the hip than a relaxed pant. Check the size chart before ordering your usual.
The tops
Three-pocket V-neck: for a zip pocket
The Amazon listing for this Purple Label V-neck shows three pockets, one with a zip, in sizes XS to 5X. A zipped pocket is a small thing until the first time you bend over a bed and your phone or badge slides out onto the floor. It is the top to pick if you carry anything in your top that you cannot afford to drop.
Healing Hands Purple Label 3-Pocket Scrub Top
A V-neck with a zip pocket, so your badge and phone stay put when you lean over a bed.
A women's V-neck top from the Purple Label line with three pockets, one of them zipped, sold in sizes XS to 5X.

- Polyester, rayon and spandex blend (Purple Label line)
- Pockets

- Sizes
- XS to 5X, per the listing
Best for
People who carry a phone or keys in the top and want one pocket that closes.
Worth knowing
Purple Label fabric is two-way stretch, not four-way. If you need full stretch for lifting and reaching, look at the Dickies top below.
Journey: for room in the shoulders
The Journey has short dolman sleeves, a Y-neck with a snap placket and two angled welt pockets, with a 26 inch back length. Healing Hands calls the fit generous and modern. Dolman sleeves are cut into the body, so there is no tight seam at the shoulder when you reach for a monitor or pull a patient up the bed. The size run is narrower than the rest of the line, stopping at 2XL on the maker’s page.
Healing Hands Purple Label Journey Mandarin Collar Top
Loose dolman sleeves and a snap placket. Looks less like scrubs than scrubs usually do.
A relaxed, generous-fit top with short dolman sleeves, a Y-neck with a snap placket and two angled welt pockets, in a polyester, rayon and spandex twill.

- Fit

- Sizes
- XXS to 2XL
Best for
Anyone who wants room in the shoulders and arms, and clinic or outpatient staff who want a tidier look.
Worth knowing
Only two pockets, and the size run stops at 2XL on the maker's page.
Juliet: the matching yoga top
If you want the top that matches the Tori pant, the Juliet is the yoga-knit V-neck. Healing Hands lists contrast stretch side panels, a banded V-neck, front shaping darts, two patch pockets and a 25 inch back length, in the same 77/20/3 blend. It is cut junior contoured, so it is the closest-fitting top here. Look for it on Amazon by name and check the rating volume on the color and size you want.
If you need four-way stretch
Purple Label is two-way stretch. If your shift is all lifting, turning and reaching, the Dickies EDS Essentials top is 95% polyester and 5% spandex with four-way stretch, according to Dickies. It pairs fine with a Tori pant in a matching color. We cover more budget sets in our cheap scrubs guide.

Which Healing Hands pieces suit your shift?
- Med-surg or tele, miles of walking: Tori pant and the three-pocket top. Five pant pockets plus a zip pocket carry most of a shift.
- ICU or ED, lots of lifting: Tori pant with a four-way stretch top. The pant is comfortable; the top is where you want more give.
- Clinic, outpatient or school settings: Journey top. The snap placket and dolman sleeves look less like standard scrubs.
- Petite or tall: Healing Hands is one of the easier brands for you. The Tori comes in all three inseams.
- Plus sizes: The Tori and the three-pocket top go to 5XL and 5X. The Journey stops at 2XL.
- Unit color code: The Tori listing shows around twenty colors, including navy, ceil, royal, black, wine, teal and white, though some colors and sizes are sold out at any given time.
Washing Purple Label scrubs
Healing Hands describes the line as easy care but gives no washing directions on its product pages, so the sewn-in care label is your guide. Under the FTC’s Care Labeling Rule, that label has to give a water temperature if regular hot washing would harm the garment, and has to say whether it can be machine dried, so read it before you put a new set through your usual hot cycle.
On washing after a shift, the CDC’s guidance for healthcare facilities says uniforms without blood or body fluid contamination are not much different from street clothes, while uniforms soiled with blood follow your facility’s laundering process under OSHA rules. Your hospital’s policy comes first. For the full washing routine, see our scrubs guide.
What to skip
- Ordering your usual size in a junior cut. The Tori and Juliet run closer than relaxed scrubs. Check the chart.
- Assuming every Healing Hands line is the same. Purple Label, Evry, Quest, 360 and HH Works are separate lines. Check which one a listing is before you buy a second set expecting the same fit.
- Hot dryer cycles without checking the label. The label is what tells you what the maker stands behind.
- A full week of sets before you have washed one. Buy one pant and one top, wear and wash them a few times, then stock up.
Are Healing Hands scrubs good quality?
On what we can check, they are a solid buy. The fabric content is listed, the styles have been on Amazon long enough to collect thousands of buyer ratings, and the petite and tall inseams are something many budget brands skip. What they are not is a performance scrub: two-way stretch and 3% spandex is a softer, simpler fabric than the athletic lines.
How do Healing Hands compare with Cherokee and Grey’s Anatomy?
Healing Hands sits close to Grey’s Anatomy by Barco: soft, polyester and rayon, and more tailored than basic scrubs. Cherokee is the brand to beat for colors and huge size runs across many lines. Carhartt is tougher and has more pockets. Our Cherokee vs Grey’s Anatomy vs Carhartt comparison covers those three. Whatever you wear, set up your pockets well with our pocket kit guide.
Your unit’s dress code and uniform policy come first, so check them before you buy.
