Editorial policy
How we choose
The rules
- Only products sold on Amazon. If a popular brand is not sold there, we say so instead of linking to a dead end.
- Well rated by buyers. In the US we look for at least 4.2 stars from 100 or more ratings; in the UK, 4.2 from 50 or more, or 4.0 from 1,000 or more. We do not show star ratings on the site, because Amazon only allows ratings that come from its own feed.
- Specs from the maker. Sizes, materials and compression levels come from the manufacturer's own listing, presented as theirs.
- No invented testing or endorsements. We never claim to have tested something we have not, and never suggest a hospital, clinician or professional body backs a product.
- Who should skip it. Every card has a "worth knowing" line, including safety cautions for compression, massage and heat products.
- Cited sources. Advice on sleep, shift work, standing and compression links to the government, academic and professional sources it came from.
Prices
We do not print prices. When Amazon's product feed supplies a current price, it appears with the time it was checked; otherwise the button says "Check price on Amazon".
